What to expect The programme combines presentations, community updates, an expert panel and informal networking: - Welcome and introductions, with opportunities to meet both new and familiar members of the Lagos dbt Meetup - A discussion of key updates and insights from dbt Summit 2026, taking place from 15–18 September - Victor Iwuocha, Senior Data Engineer: Orchestrating a Data Engineering Agent with n8n, Powered by dbt Semantic Models - Ikechukwu Chilaka, Senior Platform Data Engineer at NewGlobe: Metadata-Driven Governance: From Documentation to Enforcement - A panel on “The Impact of AI-Driven Data Literacy on the Future of Data and Analytics”, featuring Samuel Moronkeji, Edward Oluwaseyi and Jacky Munpana The sessions will move beyond dbt alone, touching on AI-powered data engineering, semantic models, automation, governance and the changing role of data literacy. Attendees can also expect the broader themes common to dbt community events, including analytics engineering, data stacks, DataOps, modelling, testing, documentation and team structures.
