Hosted by Scottish Enterprise
A full-day AI strategy and governance masterclass for SME leaders, taking place in Glasgow on 3 December 2026. Organised by Scottish Enterprise, this in-person programme helps business decision-makers move beyond isolated AI experiments towards responsible, secure and scalable adoption. Experienced practitioners in AI strategy, governance and business transformation will provide expert guidance, practical frameworks and opportunities for peer learning. Rather than focusing on technical complexity, the masterclass centres on leadership, investment decisions and execution. Attendees will work on challenges and opportunities from their own organisations, with the aim of producing: - A draft AI strategy aligned with business growth objectives - A prioritised set of high-value AI opportunities - An outline governance and policy framework - A one-page strategy connecting ambition, governance and delivery - A practical 90-day action plan The programme is designed for SME leaders, senior decision-makers and functional leads across digital, operations, innovation, technology and HR. It is particularly relevant to organisations already exploring AI and now seeking clarity on investment priorities, organisational readiness and implementation at scale. Following the masterclass, attendees will also have the opportunity to access a dedicated two-hour online advisory surgery with an AI expert to refine their strategy, test ideas and address implementation challenges. Schedule and venue Registration opens at 9:30am, the session starts at 10am, lunch runs from 12:45pm to 1:30pm, and the programme finishes at 4:30pm. It takes place at the Technology and Innovation Centre, University of Strathclyde, 99 George Street, Glasgow G1 1RD. Get tickets for the programme
