Glasgow · The Gamer Club
Hosted by Python Glasgow
Python enthusiasts of every level can share projects, discover useful tools and meet local developers at this open mic night in Glasgow. Hosted by Python Glasgow, the event runs from 6:30pm to 9:30pm GMT on Wednesday, 4 November 2026 at The Gamer Club, 153 Bath Lane. How the open mic works Anyone can give a short, approximately 15-minute demonstration or presentation. You can prepare in advance or wing it on the night, and you do not need professional speaking experience. Topics can include: - A Python project you are building or recently completed - A favourite library or tool - An idea connected to Python - Lessons and stories from your Python learning journey After presenting, you can answer questions, exchange advice and, if the live demo cooperates, perhaps pick up some GitHub stars. Presenting is optional: attendees are equally welcome to listen, learn and meet other Pythonistas. Complete beginners, experienced developers and professionals are all welcome. The Gamer Club is a purpose-built basement venue for tech meetups, with a projector, PCs, gigabit internet, console lounge, arcade and kitchen/bar. It is not licensed, but attendees may bring beer or wine; tea and coffee are available free of charge. The event will not be livestreamed. Organisers may take photos or videos for marketing, but will request consent first. Questions can be sent to organisers@python.scot. Register for Python Glasgow Open Mic Night
