Unlike a conventional tech event, there will be no presentations or formal agenda. The focus is on open conversation, useful introductions and peer-to-peer learning in a relaxed pub setting. What you’ll discuss Conversations will cover practical questions affecting people working in or moving into AI, cloud computing and cybersecurity, including: - How AI is changing careers, roles and the workplace - Current developments across AI, cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity - Skills and certifications that matter in today’s employment market - Career transitions, job opportunities and professional development - Ideas and subjects for future AI & Cloud Toronto events Attendees are encouraged to come ready to introduce themselves, share what they are working on and exchange perspectives with others in the community. The event welcomes architects, engineers, cybersecurity professionals, developers, students, consultants and leaders, as well as anyone with a general interest in AI and cloud technology. No specific experience level is required. Evening format The meetup runs from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Wednesday 23 September 2026: - 5:30pm: Arrival and introductions - 5:45pm: Brief welcome and community update - 6:00pm: Open networking and conversations - 7:00pm: Informal group discussion on careers and technology trends - 7:15pm: Closing remarks and ideas for future events - 7:30pm: Official conclusion, with the option to stay and continue networking Venue and practical details The event takes place at C’est What Restaurant & Pub, 67 Front Street East in Toronto. Attendance is free, while guests can purchase their own food and drinks from the venue. Non-alcoholic drinks and vegetarian options are available. Space is limited, so attendees should RSVP only if they genuinely intend to come.
