Amsterdam · Tim's place
Hosted by Effective Altruism in the Netherlands
Meet Amsterdam’s Effective Altruism community for informal conversation and drinks on 8 December 2026 at Tim’s place. Newcomers are especially welcome. This monthly social from Effective Altruism in the Netherlands brings together people interested in using evidence and reason to improve the world. Rather than a formal talk or workshop, the evening offers an open, relaxed setting where you can: - Meet others interested in Effective Altruism (EA) - Ask questions and explore topics that interest you - Discuss how to make the world a better place - Socialise over a drink and connect with the local community The gathering runs from 7:30pm to 10:30pm CET on Tuesday, 8 December 2026 at Tim’s place, Celebesstraat 58A, 1094ER Amsterdam. You are welcome to arrive later than the advertised start time. Feel free to bring something to eat or drink, although there is no obligation. The event is open to everyone, including people attending for the first time. Attendees can also ask to join the chapter’s WhatsApp group for updates about future events. Learn more through the Dutch EA organisation or the international Effective Altruism website. Register for the event on Meetup
