Explore creative coding, generative art and AI through informal demos at this relaxed monthly meetup in Sheffield on 10 November 2026. Hosted by Seif E. and Creative Coding Sheffield, the evening welcomes beginners, hobbyists, professionals and curious newcomers. You do not need to present: attendees can simply watch the demos, meet other creative technologists and discuss what people are building. What to expect The informal programme includes: - Time to arrive, chat and settle in - Three to five show-and-tell demos or presentations - More conversation and networking afterwards Projects can be polished, experimental or still at the idea stage. Previous sessions have featured a live-coded jungle set in TidalCycles, projection mapping, UK terrain generated from open data, cellular automata, deterministic game-character generation, 3D Gaussian splats and VJing with TouchDesigner. Other relevant interests include robotics and hardware, simulations, interactive tools, 3D work and unusual technical experiments. Presentations may be capped at 20 minutes when demand is high. Anyone wanting a guaranteed presentation slot should contact the host beforehand through the event chat or Meetup DM. A TV with HDMI and USB-C connections is available for laptop demos. The meetup runs from 7:30pm to 11pm GMT in the private upstairs room at the Fat Cat, 23 Alma Street, Sheffield, S3 8SA. Late arrivals, early departures and shorter presentations are welcome.
