What to expect

A live online seminar on 21 August 2026 at 15:00 CEST examining why LLM-first enterprise architectures fail, and the more reliable models that come next.

Large language models excel at language, but enterprise operations depend on processes, decisions, controls, systems and coordination. In this architecture-focused webinar, Marco van Hurne, AI Factory leader at Eigenvector Research, will explain why that distinction matters when organisations try to place LLMs at the centre of complex workflows.

Rather than presenting an anti-LLM argument, Marco describes the session as an “architectural intervention”: a critical look at where general-purpose language models add value, where they become unreliable and why simply adding more agents, validators and guardrails can create a larger technology stack without producing a better enterprise solution.

What the seminar will cover

The session will break down several central challenges and alternatives:

  • Why multi-step LLM workflows break, including how reliability can deteriorate as a process grows longer and more complex
  • Specialised models versus generalist LLMs, and why narrower systems may be better suited to particular enterprise tasks
  • Deterministic execution, where predictable processes and controls matter more than probabilistic output
  • Ontologies and enterprise memory as foundations for preserving organisational context and knowledge
  • Coordination models for connecting decisions, systems and workflows without treating an LLM as the answer to every architectural problem

Who should attend?

This webinar is relevant to people exploring artificial intelligence applications, enterprise architecture, enterprise software and emerging technology. It should be particularly useful for practitioners assessing AI-powered workflows, evaluating agent-based systems or deciding how LLMs should fit into a wider operational architecture. No prerequisite level is specified, although the discussion is framed around architectural and enterprise concerns rather than a beginner-level introduction to AI.…
