Learn to Build AI Agents That Fix Themselves

Discover how to create resilient, self-healing AI agents in this hands-on online workshop hosted by Union.ai. This session addresses one of the most critical challenges in production AI: building agents that can automatically recover from failures and adapt to infrastructure limitations without human intervention.

What You'll Build

Using the Flyte 2.0 SDK, you'll learn to construct AI agents that treat infrastructure as context — enabling them to understand system constraints, detect issues, and implement self-correction strategies. This approach moves beyond traditional error handling to create genuinely autonomous agents capable of diagnosing and resolving their own operational problems.

Workshop Curriculum

The session covers four core areas essential for building production-ready AI agents:

  • AI Agent Fundamentals and Limitations — Understanding current constraints in agent architectures and where they typically fail
  • Infrastructure as Context — Teaching agents to interpret system state, resource availability, and operational boundaries
  • Self-Healing Mechanisms with Flyte 2 — Implementing automatic recovery patterns, retry logic, and adaptive behaviour
  • Extending to Custom Use Cases — Strategies for applying these patterns to your specific agentic workflows

Who Should Attend

This workshop suits developers and machine learning engineers working with AI agents, automation workflows, or production ML systems. Whether you're building conversational agents, autonomous data pipelines, or intelligent orchestration systems, you'll gain practical techniques for improving agent reliability and reducing manual intervention.

Led by Union.ai's ML Leadership

Niels Bantilan, Chief Machine Learning Engineer at Union.ai, leads this session. Union.ai specializes in workflow orchestration and has deep expertise in building resilient AI systems at scale. The workshop draws on real-world patterns from production deployments where agent reliability is critical.

Why Self-Healing Matters

As AI agents take on more autonomous roles — from data processing to infrastructure management — their ability to handle unexpected situations without human intervention becomes essential. Traditional error handling isn't sufficient when agents operate in dynamic environments with shifting resources, A
