About this event

What to expect

If you're curious about how AI is actually being used in everyday work and life—not just the hype, but the real, practical stuff—this casual coffee meetup in McLean, VA is for you. Hosted by Technoverts near Washington, this relaxed gathering brings together people in tech and tech-adjacent fields to share experiences, swap stories, and discuss what's genuinely useful versus what's just noise.

This isn't a panel discussion or formal presentation. There's no fixed agenda or mandatory expertise required. It's simply a low-pressure conversation where you can learn from others, share your own experiments, or just listen if you're still figuring things out. Whether you're skeptical about AI, deeply involved in automation, or somewhere in between, you'll find thoughtful people happy to chat about what's working (and what isn't).

Topics the group might explore:

  • AI tools people actually use daily at work—not just demos, but real applications
  • Productivity hacks and automation workflows that save time
  • Prompting strategies: successes, failures, and lessons learned
  • Creative, writing, coding, research, and analytics use cases
  • Separating genuine value from overhyped features
  • Weird experiments and unexpected discoveries

The conversation is deliberately open-ended. You might discuss ChatGPT workflows, Claude for research, automation with Make or Zapier, AI-assisted coding with Cursor, or entirely different tools and approaches. The goal is to share real experiences and learn from each other in a friendly, unpretentious setting.

The meetup takes place at the High Point Pub café on the second floor of the Whole Foods at The Boro in Tysons. Parking is free in the garage with validation, and the café opens at 11 AM when the event begins. Everyone covers their own coffee and snacks. The host will arrive early to secure a table and post location details in the event discussion.

This is a growing community—the first Technoverts meetup had a great turnout, and the organizers are excited to build on that momentum. Whether you're working in technology professionally, exploring AI as a side interest, or simply want to meet thoughtful people navigating these tools, you'll find a welcoming group ready to share
