Unlock the Future of AI Agents at IMDA's Technical Sharing Session

On 23 April 2026, the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) invites researchers, industry practitioners, and AI enthusiasts to an in-person technical session exploring the cutting edge of autonomous AI agents. This session is part of IMDA's ongoing initiative to create a platform where esteemed researchers share insights on emerging technology topics that are shaping Singapore's digital landscape.

What You'll Learn

This 2.5-hour session dives deep into three critical areas of AI agent research:

  • LLM-Based Autonomous Agents: Explore recent developments and research breakthroughs in large language model-powered agents that can act independently, reason about tasks, and execute complex workflows. Understanding how tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini are evolving into agentic systems is crucial for anyone building the next generation of AI applications.

  • Multi-Agent Coordination: Learn how intelligent agents collaborate, coordinate, and make decisions in complex environments where multiple AI systems must work together harmoniously. This is particularly relevant for teams building sophisticated automation workflows with platforms like Make, Zapier, or n8n.

  • Reinforcement Learning for Policy Optimization: Discover how agents continuously improve their decision-making through reinforcement learning, enabling them to adapt and optimize their strategies over time.

Meet the Speaker

The session features Prof Bo An, President's Chair Professor at Nanyang Technological University and a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI). Prof An is a globally recognized authority in multi-agent systems, reinforcement learning, and AI-driven decision-making. His research focuses on developing intelligent agents capable of learning and coordinating in complex environments, with real-world applications spanning security, resource allocation, and autonomous systems. As General Co-Chair of AAMAS 2023 and upcoming Program Chair of IJCAI 2027, Prof An brings unparalleled expertise to this technical deep-dive.

Who Should Attend

This session is ideal for:

  • AI researchers and machine learning practitioners
  • Software developers building agentic AI system
