What to expect

Physical AI leaders meet in Singapore on 13 August 2026 to examine the global race for robotics IP, AI talent and value.

Who will capture the value in physical AI?

As robot manufacturing and ownership of the AI that controls those robots increasingly sit in different countries, the competitive map is changing. This two-hour, data-led session explores what that separation means for physical AI,and why the organisations positioned to benefit may not be the ones most observers expect.

Hosted by Yaoquan Zhu, Xuan and Yilian, the event takes place from 3:00pm to 5:00pm GMT+8 at 21 Collyer Quay, Level 2, Singapore 049320.

GoVeda and Olofsson will unpack the global race using analysis drawn from a corpus of more than 220 million patents, alongside data on the talent landscape supporting the sector. The session looks beyond where patents are filed to focus on who actually owns the underlying intellectual property. It will also examine a notable finding: an APAC player already holds a leading position in a layer widely regarded as closed.

What you’ll take away

Attendees can expect:

  • A clear map of where physical AI intellectual property is concentrated, based on ownership rather than filing location
  • An opportunity view for APAC, including which layers are concentrated, which remain open and where a regional player has already succeeded
  • Insight into the geography of relevant talent and the “bridge skill” gap now acting as an execution bottleneck
  • Practical implications for builders, investors, advisers, legal professionals and policymakers
  • A live look at how this depth of analysis can be produced from patent data

The programme concludes with a fireside chat and open-floor discussion focused on what different participants across APAC should do next. Every attendee will also receive the complete research report free of charge.
