What to expect

Build AI-enabled agents inside n8n that seamlessly integrate with Microsoft 365 applications in this hands-on virtual session. Host Dylan Watkins (Community Manager, n8n) joins Manuel Cerrutti (Product Manager, Copilot Agent Ecosystem, Microsoft) and David Arens (Senior Product Manager II, n8n) to demonstrate how the Microsoft Agent 365 Trigger node enables n8n users to deploy agents that appear as members of the team within Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and Word.

With Microsoft Agent 365 now generally available, organizations can create intelligent agents that receive their own identity and compliance controls managed by Microsoft, while n8n provides the flexible automation platform to design agent behavior, system prompts, tool integrations, and cross-stack actions. This session bridges the gap between enterprise governance requirements and the creative freedom of n8n's visual workflow builder with access to over 1,000 built-in integrations.

What You'll Build

The walkthrough covers the complete setup process for creating production-ready agents:

  • Agent Design in n8n: Configure the Microsoft Agent 365 Trigger node, define system prompts, connect third-party tools, integrate MCP servers, and orchestrate sub-workflows for specialized tasks
  • Microsoft Environment Setup: Configure your Microsoft 365 tenant to authenticate agents, apply identity-based access controls, and establish governance policies
  • User Interaction Patterns: Enable team members to interact with agents through @mentions in Teams, direct emails in Outlook, and integrated experiences across SharePoint and Word

Who Should Attend

This session targets three key audiences looking to leverage AI agents within enterprise Microsoft environments:

  • Microsoft 365 Administrators and Developers: IT teams seeking to extend their Microsoft ecosystem with custom AI agents while maintaining centralized identity management and compliance controls
  • n8n Power Users: Automation builders who want their workflows and agents accessible directly from where their teams already work — inside Microsoft 365 applications
  • Enterprise Decision Makers: Technology leaders evaluating governance frameworks for AI agent deployment, from identity verification through to execution monitoring and auditability
