What to expect

Mission Bit's Week of Code is a free four-day online coding experience for high school students aged 14-18, running May 25-28, 2026 from 5pm–7pm PT each day. This beginner-friendly workshop series introduces teenagers to the exciting intersection of programming, AI, and game design through hands-on, project-based learning that requires no prior coding experience.

The event offers four distinct two-hour workshops, each building practical skills students can apply immediately. In Pixel Art Character Creation, participants learn game asset development by designing playable characters that integrate into Unity games. Tic Tac Toe with AI demystifies artificial intelligence by having students program a game and build an AI opponent using decision-making algorithms. Teach Your Tech explores machine learning, guiding students through creating custom models that recognize poses, images, or specific features. Python Art with Turtles demonstrates how art meets technology, using Python to craft creative shapes and patterns.

Attend one workshop or challenge yourself with all four—every completed session earns an entry into Mission Bit's raffle for $50+ gift cards to Steam, Discord, and other platforms popular with young creators. Complete the entire series to maximize your chances of winning while building a diverse skill portfolio spanning AI, Python programming, pixel art creation, and game design fundamentals.

Mission Bit's experienced instructors create an inclusive learning environment where all skill levels thrive. Whether you're exploring coding for the first time, considering computer science studies, or looking to expand your technical toolkit, these workshops provide structured guidance through concepts like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, machine learning basics, and creative programming. The online format makes this accessible to high school students nationwide, eliminating geographical barriers to quality tech education.

This isn't just about syntax and algorithms—it's about discovering potential, fostering creativity, and joining a community of young technologists passionate about shaping tomorrow's digital landscape. Mission Bit believes coding is for everyone, and Week of Code exemplifies this mission by offering completely free, high-quality instruction designed to inspire the next generation of developers, designers, and innovators.
