Explore how generative AI is reshaping business, markets and society at Wharton’s two-day research conference in San Francisco, 9–10 September 2026.

Hosted by Wharton Human-AI Research, the Business & Generative AI Conference brings academic and industry researchers together to examine emerging scholarship at the intersection of AI and business. The programme focuses on how generative AI is changing business models, industries, markets and wider society, while creating space for new research collaborations and practical conversations across disciplines.

The conference takes place at Wharton San Francisco, 2 Harrison Street, in San Francisco.

  • Keynote presentations from leaders in business and generative AI
  • Concurrent research sessions featuring emerging academic and industry work
  • Interdisciplinary discussions connecting technological developments with commercial and societal questions
  • A poster session for exploring research in a more conversational format
  • Dedicated networking lunches, breakfasts and an evening reception
  • A concluding plenary session and closing remarks

Day one runs from 8:00am to 6:00pm, beginning with registration and breakfast before welcome remarks, a keynote and two blocks of concurrent sessions. It closes with a poster session and reception. Who should attend?
