About this event

What to expect

Can you break OpenClaw before the beer breaks you? This St Patrick's Day hack night in San Francisco combines security testing, AI agent exploitation, and festive chaos into one unforgettable evening. Hosted at the Wordware Beach House on March 17, 2026, this hands-on event challenges builders, security researchers, and AI engineers to probe, exploit, and pressure-test real-world OpenClaw agent configurations.

What You'll Do

Each participant receives a dedicated OpenClaw instance pre-seeded with 1-5 intentional misconfigurations. Your mission: find the weaknesses, exploit them creatively, and discover how agent security breaks in practice. Whether you're an AI engineer hunting prompt injection vectors or a backend security specialist looking for configuration vulnerabilities, there's a challenge track designed for your skillset.

Challenge Tracks:

  • Prompt injection attack track — craft adversarial inputs that bypass agent guardrails
  • OpenClaw configuration exploitation — find and abuse misconfigurations in agent setup
  • Hard mode — attempt challenges while drinking 1 beer every 30 minutes (optional but encouraged for St Patrick's Day spirit)

What You'll Win

This isn't just a learning experience — there are serious prizes on the line. The overall winner takes home a MacMini, while the team that breaks an OpenClaw instance running on Blaxel in the most epic way wins $300 cash. Every participant also receives $250 in free Blaxel credits to continue experimenting after the event.

Who Should Attend

This event is perfect for security-minded builders, AI engineers exploring agent vulnerabilities, backend developers interested in sandbox exploitation, and anyone curious about the real-world attack surface of AI agents. Whether you're experienced in red-teaming or just getting started with agent security, the hands-on format ensures you'll learn by doing.

Event Details

Running from 4:00 PM to 9:30 PM PT, the event provides ample time to dig deep into OpenClaw's internals. You'll work with stateful sandbox environments provided by Blaxel (YC X25), the perpetual sandbox platform that keeps environments running on standby — ideal for persistent agent testing. Wordware (YC S24), the AI context lab behind Sauna.ai, co-presents the event alongside The Builders Collective and HackerSquad.
