What to expect

AI is transforming how people learn, work, and create value — but is traditional education keeping pace? This free 45-minute online workshop for parents explores whether high school students are gaining the future-ready skills they need to thrive in an AI-powered economy. Grades still matter, but the world our teens are entering is changing faster than most curricula can adapt.

Organised by Kekede, this parent-focused session examines five critical skills for the next generation: AI literacy, opportunity spotting, value creation, communication, and self-trust. You'll learn why AI literacy isn't about coding bootcamps or get-rich-quick schemes — it's about helping teens use AI responsibly to strengthen their thinking, not replace it. The workshop explores how students can shift from being passive consumers to active creators who identify real-world problems and build meaningful solutions.

What Parents Will Discover

During this session, you'll explore why the future rewards creators, builders, problem-solvers, and adaptive thinkers. You'll learn the difference between using AI to avoid thinking versus using it as a tool for deeper reasoning and creativity. The workshop covers how teens can transform everyday interests, talents, and problems into meaningful project ideas that build confidence and self-direction.

You'll also get a preview of Solopreneur Summer School: Teen Edition, a 5-week guided experience where rising 9th through 12th grade students learn to use AI responsibly, identify opportunities, build simple projects or business ideas, and practice communicating those ideas with confidence. This isn't about teaching teens to predict an unknowable future — it's about equipping them to adapt, think critically, and create value no matter what comes next.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed for parents and guardians of high school students (grades 9-12) who want their teens to develop skills beyond traditional academics. If you're wondering whether your teen is truly prepared for a rapidly changing world, this session offers practical insights into helping them build confidence, explore entrepreneurship, and spend their summer doing something productive and future-focused.

The event runs online for 45 minutes, making it easy to join from anywhere. Whether your teen is interested in technology, business, creative projects, or simply building a stronger sense of self-direction, this workshop will help you understand how to support t
