About this event

What to expect

Managing AI responsibly is no longer optional — it's a business imperative. This intensive 4-hour masterclass in Riyadh equips professionals with practical frameworks and tools to build AI governance structures that work in real-world environments.

What You'll Learn

The masterclass centres on two globally recognised frameworks: NIST AI RMF (Risk Management Framework) and ISO IEC 42001. You'll gain hands-on experience applying these standards to your organisation's specific context, moving beyond theory to create actionable governance policies. The session focuses on identifying high-risk AI use cases, defining clear responsibilities across teams, and establishing structured approaches to managing AI-related risks.

Led by Samir Aliyev, CEO of Swiss Cyber Institute and Academic Program Director at the University of St Gallen, and Ayaz Karimov, Head of Learning at Swiss Cyber Institute and AI trainer for UNDP, ITU, and UN Women, the masterclass combines academic rigour with practical implementation experience.

Who Should Attend

This masterclass is designed for decision-makers and practitioners working in:

  • Compliance and risk management
  • Legal and regulatory affairs
  • Corporate governance
  • Digital transformation
  • Technical project management
  • IT leadership

Whether you're building an AI governance programme from scratch or refining existing policies, this session provides the frameworks and practical tools to move forward confidently.

What's Included

You'll leave the masterclass with comprehensive materials and handouts, a first draft of your organisation's AI governance structure, and a certificate of completion. A coffee break is included to facilitate networking with other governance professionals facing similar challenges.

The session takes place at King Abdullah Financial District from 13:00 to 17:00 on 19 May 2026. This is a private event with limited capacity — participation is subject to approval to ensure all attendees can benefit from focused, interactive learning.
