About this event

What to expect

Looking to explore OpenClaw with hands-on guidance from experienced developers? OpenClaw Day brings together Shanghai's startup and developer communities for an afternoon of practical demonstrations, project showcases, and technical workshops focused on deploying and building with OpenClaw technology. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your approach, this event promises to help you achieve "龙虾自由" (lobster freedom) — a playful reference to mastering OpenClaw.

This collaborative event, hosted by StartupGrind 创业磨坊, OpenBuild, and GMI Cloud, takes place on March 14, 2026, in Shanghai's Xuhai District. The four-hour program runs from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, featuring a carefully curated mix of knowledge sharing, live demos, and community interaction.

What to Expect

The agenda balances educational content with practical application. You'll hear insights on OpenClaw security and deployment, including sessions on "人人有虾用,虾虾都安全" (everyone can use it, every instance is secure) and real-world project implementations. A roundtable discussion will explore multiple approaches to leveraging OpenClaw effectively, followed by a dedicated Demo Time where participants can showcase their projects in rapid 5-minute presentations.

One highlight is the project showcase competition, where builders present their OpenClaw applications for prizes including a Mac Mini (Most Commercial Potential Award) and a $499 ticket to the Startup Grind Silicon Valley annual conference (Best Popularity Award). Engineers will be on-site to provide hands-on installation support, making this an ideal environment for beginners.

Community and Prizes

The event features substantial giveaways for attendees: two Magiclaw 龙虾盒子 devices (¥1500 each, pre-installed with OpenClaw), 50 Kimi ¥50 vouchers, 20 SpoonOS OpenRouter $15 credits, 10 Sspai monthly passes, and 100 GMI Cloud Inference Engine $2 credits. Little Red Book (小红书) is providing official traffic support for participants who share their OpenClaw projects, technical insights, or event experiences.

Supported by an impressive roster of partners including Tencent Cloud, Qiniu Cloud, Kimi, Little Red Book Technology, and numerous developer communities (开源社, AIGCOPEN, PyChina, OpenBMB, and more), this event represents a significant gathering point for China's AI development ecosystem.
