What to expect

Build practical AI literacy, digital confidence and career-ready skills in this one-day student workshop in Nottingham on 21 August 2026.

Designed for students preparing for a fast-changing world of education and work, Euro Edge Academy’s hands-on programme combines AI fundamentals with communication, critical thinking, leadership and personal development. The workshop runs from 9:00am to 4:30pm at Regus, 1st Floor, 2 Castle Meadow Road, Nottingham NG2 1AG. The course is listed as an eight-hour learning experience worth eight credits, with a course completion certificate provided.

What the workshop covers

The agenda starts by exploring how work is changing, why AI matters to students and where emerging careers may create new opportunities. Participants will then examine:

  • The foundations of artificial intelligence, machine learning and generative AI
  • Everyday AI applications, including their capabilities and limitations
  • Responsible and effective use of AI tools
  • Digital citizenship, online safety and cybersecurity basics
  • Data privacy, digital footprints, misinformation and bias
  • Growth mindset, creativity, innovation and problem-solving
  • Communication, presentation, leadership and teamwork
  • Productivity, time management and decision-making
  • Résumé writing, professional online profiles and personal branding
  • Planning for internships, employment and longer-term career development

This is not presented as a purely theoretical course. Facilitator-led discussions are supported by real-world examples, team activities, role-playing exercises, case studies, practical assignments, self-assessments and reflection. Students should leave with a clearer understanding of AI’s impact on education and careers, as well as a personal growth and career development plan they can continue using after the session.

Who should attend?

No previous experience is required. The programme is suitable for high school students, undergraduates, postgraduates and recent graduates who want to improve their digital literacy and prepare for future academic or professional opportunities. It is particularly relevant to learners seeking a broad, responsible introduction to AI alongside the transferable skills employers increasingly value.…
