About this event

What to expect

Policy and procurement often lag behind innovation, but this parliamentary showcase aims to close that gap for artificial intelligence in healthcare. Jointly organised by UKAI and Curia, this in-person event brings together MPs, NHS leaders, regulators, innovators, and academics to tackle a critical challenge: how do we move AI from promising pilots to widespread, responsible deployment across the health, care, and life sciences sectors?

Why This Matters

AI has demonstrated transformative potential in diagnostics, drug discovery, patient care, and operational efficiency — yet scaling these innovations across the NHS and life sciences ecosystem remains complex. This showcase focuses on the practical barriers to adoption: procurement frameworks that struggle to accommodate rapidly evolving technology, integration challenges within legacy systems, regulatory uncertainty, and the need for ethical, trusted implementation that delivers measurable patient outcomes.

What You'll Explore

The event centres on four core themes:

  • Procurement for Innovation — How can NHS procurement better support AI adoption at scale while ensuring value for money?
  • System-Wide Integration — What does it take to embed AI into real-world clinical and operational workflows?
  • Regulation and Trust — How can regulatory frameworks keep pace with innovation while protecting patients and maintaining public confidence?
  • Delivering Outcomes — Moving beyond pilots to demonstrate system-wide impact on patient care and health outcomes

Who Should Attend

This showcase is designed for:

  • MPs and policymakers shaping the future of healthcare technology
  • NHS leaders and commissioning decision-makers
  • Regulators navigating the balance between innovation and patient safety
  • Health tech innovators and life sciences entrepreneurs
  • Academics researching AI applications in healthcare
  • Anyone involved in scaling responsible AI deployment across the health sector

Event Format

The parliamentary meeting runs from 2pm to 4:30pm BST and combines expert presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities. The format is designed to facilitate meaningful dialogue between those creating policy, those implementing technology, and those innovating at the cutting edge of healthcare AI. You can watch highlights from last year's event on the UKAI website.
