About this event

What to expect

Small business owners and operations teams often face a common challenge: drowning in repetitive tasks like email triage, customer enquiries, data entry, and scheduling — all of which drain time from higher-value work. This full-day, hands-on workshop in Perth teaches you how to build practical AI-powered automations using no-code tools, so you can reclaim hours each week without hiring a developer.

Hosted by the Western Australian AI Hub, this intensive session is designed for founders, operations leads, and office managers who want to leave with working automations — not just theory. You'll learn to connect tools like ChatGPT, Make, and Zapier to automate real business workflows, from inbox management to customer onboarding.

What You'll Build

  • Email automation agents that sort, prioritise, and draft replies
  • Customer enquiry workflows that route questions to the right team member or respond automatically
  • Data pipelines that sync information between spreadsheets, CRMs, and databases
  • Scheduling and follow-up bots that eliminate back-and-forth

The workshop is structured around implementation, not lectures. You'll map your own business processes, design automation logic, and configure real agents during the day. Facilitators provide 1:1 guidance as you build, ensuring you troubleshoot issues and understand the underlying principles.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is ideal for small teams (2–20 people) who need to do more with less. You don't need coding experience — just a laptop, an openness to experiment, and at least one painful manual process you want to automate. The Founder + Ops Duo ticket is particularly valuable: one person focuses on strategic design while the other handles technical execution, ensuring your automations align with business goals and get implemented properly.

Observer/Strategist seats are available for consultants, advisors, or leaders who want to understand the possibilities without building hands-on.

Practical Details

The event runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at The Platform on Adelaide Terrace in Perth. Early bird pricing is available for the first eight implementer seats. Bring your laptop, a list of repetitive tasks you'd like to eliminate, and access to any tools you already use (e.g. Gmail, Slack, Airtable). By the end of the day, you'll have deployed at least one live automation and a blu
