What to expect

Learn how to build production-grade AI infrastructure with Rust in this intensive hands-on workshop. Discover why Rust is rapidly becoming the language of choice for serious AI engineering, offering the performance, memory safety, and concurrency guarantees that Python simply can't match.

This 2.5-hour live session takes you beyond theory into real-world application development. You'll work with two critical technologies: the Rig library for creating LLM-based AI agents and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) workflows, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for securely connecting Rust-powered tools to leading AI models like Claude and ChatGPT.

What You'll Build

The workshop follows a structured hands-on approach across four core modules. You'll start with Rust for AI orientation, setting up your toolchain and understanding async programming with Tokio. The main session focuses on building with Rig — creating unified LLM abstractions that work across providers including OpenAI and Anthropic, programming intelligent agents, and constructing complete RAG workflows.

You'll then implement a full MCP server in Rust, learning how to create custom tools and securely expose local data to external AI models. The final module covers production patterns — the strategies and best practices needed to structure, test, and deploy AI applications that are truly ready for real-world use.

Who Should Attend

This workshop targets mid-level developers with working Rust knowledge who want to move into AI-native engineering. It's perfect for backend web developers curious about building LLM-integrated services with performance guarantees, AI engineers currently working in Python who want to understand what a Rust-based AI stack unlocks, and tech leads evaluating Rust for AI infrastructure roles.

You should be comfortable with Rust coding and basic ownership concepts. No prior experience with AI frameworks or LLM APIs is required — the instructor covers everything from fundamentals to production deployment.
