About this event

What to expect

Python powers the majority of modern machine learning and AI applications — and this free online workshop gives you hands-on experience building your first predictive model. Led by Le Wagon Montreal instructor Tanguy Richard, this beginner-friendly session breaks down the fundamentals of machine learning and shows you how to create a working model using Python.

What You'll Learn

This workshop demystifies machine learning for complete beginners. You'll discover the core logic and foundations behind machine learning algorithms, explore real-world use cases across different industries, and learn how to communicate effectively with data scientists and ML engineers — essential skills whether you're looking to transition into tech or collaborate with technical teams.

The session covers practical applications of machine learning, from recommendation systems to predictive analytics, giving you a clear picture of how these technologies solve business problems. You'll build your first model step-by-step, understanding each decision point and the reasoning behind it.

Workshop Format

The webinar runs for one hour, with the instructor walking you through machine learning concepts and live-coding a model in Python. After the session, you'll receive access to Le Wagon's e-learning platform, where you can review the lecture slides, revisit key concepts, and work through additional exercises at your own pace to reinforce what you've learned.

This is an entry-level workshop — no programming experience or technical background required. Whether you're exploring career options, upskilling for your current role, or simply curious about how AI actually works under the hood, this session provides a practical introduction to machine learning fundamentals.
