What to expect

Global Demo Night is a free, remote 60-minute showcase on 23 September 2026, giving MVP and validation-stage founders a global platform for feedback.

Hosted by Stewart Noakes and Jason Cheung and presented by the Canopy Community, this live YouTube event brings together emerging founders, operators, early-stage investors and startup enthusiasts from across the world. It offers a fast-moving look at ambitious products while giving the teams behind them an opportunity to test their messaging, answer direct questions and gain visibility beyond their local startup ecosystem.

How the demo night works

The session runs from 1:00pm to 2:00pm UTC on Wednesday 23 September 2026. A curated line-up of founders working at MVP or validation stage will take the virtual stage. Each participant receives:

  • Five minutes to demo their product and explain the idea
  • Five minutes of community questions and real-world feedback
  • Exposure to an international audience of founders, operators and investors
  • The chance to take part in live voting for the People’s Choice Award

The concise format keeps the programme energetic while allowing every featured founder to show what they have built. Attendees can compare different early-stage approaches, learn how founders communicate developing products and support teams at a formative point in their journey.

Who should attend?

This event is particularly relevant for early-stage founders preparing to pitch, including those refining their story or validating an MVP. Seed and pre-seed investors can use the session to discover emerging teams and ideas, while operators and startup enthusiasts can see new products unfold and contribute thoughtful questions.

Canopy describes the environment as safe, generous and grounded in peer support. You do not need to be pitching or investing to attend: everyone is welcome to watch, learn, vote and cheer on the founders. Standard registration is free, and there is also a free approval-based investor ticket for active investors in early-stage technology companies.…
