About this event

What to expect

Tour a central Glasgow hack space, explore its maker equipment and help shape future workshops, free and open to everyone.

Hosted by Open Source Glasgow and Neil M., this two-hour visit introduces the community workshop inside The Gamer Club. It takes place on Saturday 17 October 2026, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm BST, at 153 Bath Lane.

What you’ll see

The tour covers equipment for electronics, fabrication, crafts and prototyping, including:

  • 3D printers and a vinyl plotter/cutter
  • Soldering equipment, multimeters and an adjustable DC power supply
  • Breadboards, electronics kits and prototyping tools
  • A digital microscope and oscilloscope
  • A sewing machine, drill press and plastic-welding kit
  • Hand tools, a heat gun, glue gun, laminators and book-binding equipment

The organisers also want to hear ideas for future free public events. Workshops under consideration include introductory soldering, guitar pedals, Arduino and Raspberry Pi sensors, sewing and crocheting, and custom keyboard building. Volunteers interested in helping are encouraged to get involved.

This event suits makers, hackers, crafters and curious beginners who want to explore a community workshop. Attendance is free and open to all, with complimentary tea and coffee. A paid membership is only required for ongoing 24/7 access to the space.
