About this event

What to expect

Join ML Club in Glasgow this April for an evening focused on agentic AI — one of the most transformative developments in artificial intelligence today. This meetup brings together builders, practitioners, and researchers to explore how agentic systems are being designed, deployed, and scaled in real-world environments.

What You'll Learn

The evening features two in-depth technical talks from experienced practitioners. Emmanuel Ogungbemi will present "Building with Agentic AI: Architectures, Patterns, and Real World Applications," covering practical approaches to building agentic systems, key architectural considerations, emerging design patterns, and real-world implementations. Following this, Professor Rod Rivera, Professor of AI at Rasa, will share "Lessons learned from building enterprise voice AI agents in 2026," focusing on the practical challenges and insights gained from deploying voice AI agents in enterprise settings.

Each presentation runs 20-25 minutes with dedicated time for questions and discussion, giving you the opportunity to dig deeper into the technical details and implementation challenges.

Who Should Attend

This event is designed for anyone working with or interested in AI agents — whether you're actively building production systems, exploring architectural patterns, researching conversational AI, or simply want to stay current with the latest developments in agentic systems. The talks balance technical depth with practical applicability, making them valuable for both experienced practitioners and those newer to the field.

Event Details

The meetup takes place at the University of Strathclyde's Lecture Theatre SW105, with doors opening at 4:00 PM for networking and refreshments. Talks begin at 5:00 PM and run until approximately 6:00 PM, with networking continuing throughout.

The event is sponsored by Rasa Technologies Inc., the company behind the open-source conversational AI framework, reflecting their commitment to advancing real-world AI innovation and supporting the builder community. The University of Strathclyde Law, Technology and Innovation Masters Programme team is providing the venue.

Get Involved

ML Club is actively building their speaker lineup for the rest of 2026. If you have insights to share about AI agents, machine learning architectures, or practical AI deployment, reach out to the organising team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute t
