Hosted by Nottingham DS&AI Meetup group (hosted by Mica B. and co-organisers)
The Nottingham DS&AI Meetup brings together data science and artificial intelligence practitioners every first Thursday of the month at Nottingham Trent University's Newton Building. This November session offers an ideal blend of technical learning and community networking for anyone interested in data science, machine learning, and AI applications. What to Expect Doors open at 18:00, with the main talk or workshop beginning at 18:15 and running until 20:30. While the specific topic for this session will be announced closer to the date, previous meetups have covered a diverse range of subjects spanning machine learning techniques, practical AI implementations, and data analytics methodologies. The format typically features a speaker presentation or hands-on workshop, followed by ample time for socializing and networking with fellow practitioners. Complimentary pizza is provided throughout the evening, though attendees should bring their own beverages. The event often extends to a nearby pub for those wanting to continue conversations in a more relaxed setting. Who Should Attend This meetup welcomes everyone from data science students and early-career professionals to experienced AI practitioners and technology leaders. Whether you're exploring AI applications for your business, deepening your technical skills, or simply curious about the latest developments in machine learning, you'll find a supportive community of like-minded individuals. The Nottingham tech scene thrives on these regular gatherings, making this an essential event for anyone in the local data science ecosystem. Community and Networking Beyond the monthly in-person meetups, the community maintains an active Discord server for ongoing discussions, resource sharing, and collaboration opportunities. This digital space complements the face-to-face events, ensuring continuous engagement between sessions. Sponsors and Partners The meetup benefits from generous support by Rebel Recruiters, specialists in tech recruitment who provide the evening's pizza. Co-organiser Mica Bell from Rebel Recruiters attends regularly and can discuss recruitment opportunities for both employers and job seekers.
