About this event

What to expect

The ITCS Darmstadt Tech Conference and Job Fair brings together cutting-edge technology, career opportunities, and festival vibes in one comprehensive event on 23 April 2026. Hosted at the darmstadtium Science and Congress Centre, this full-day experience runs from 10:00 to 16:00, with doors opening at 09:30 and an after-party kicking off at 16:00.

What to Expect

This isn't your typical corporate job fair. The ITCS format combines three distinct experiences: a multi-stage tech conference featuring 30+ presentations from industry leaders, an exhibition hall where you can meet companies ranging from startups to global corporations, and festival elements including table football, table tennis, gaming areas, and chill-out zones. The relaxed atmosphere is reinforced by the #noDresscode policy — come as you are, suit and tie optional.

Conference Programme

Three stages will host over 30 presentations covering the most relevant topics in tech today. Confirmed sessions include deep dives into AI agents and their impact on digital sovereignty, exploring how autonomous systems are planning, deciding, and acting independently. You'll hear from DFS (German Air Traffic Control) about their transformation from monolithic systems to service-oriented, cloud-based architectures for pilot systems at tower locations.

The AI-focused track features sessions on gaining value from financial data through diverse AI development teams, AI-driven investment funds changing financial markets, and the critical examination of generative AI beyond the hype — covering prompt manipulation, hallucinations, and AI-powered scam calls. Innovation management is also on the agenda, with talks on how AI is making idea generation easier than ever.

Software development sessions will explore what makes successful tech teams, drawing on research from Google's Project Aristotle, DORA metrics, and Team Topologies. You'll learn practical patterns that distinguish high-performing teams from struggling ones, complete with an interview checklist for evaluating potential teams.

A strong diversity and career track addresses critical industry gaps, including sessions titled "Dev.her: The update the industry needs" and "Mind the (Gender) Gap: Why tech needs to be told differently." Speakers will share experiences of unusual career paths, such as transitioning from philosophy to IT management, and discuss human-centred AI design from female perspectives.
