What to expect

A free virtual briefing on 15 September 2026 will help AI founders and product teams understand EU AI Act risk tiers, enforcement and practical compliance.

Organised by Demystifying AI Governance (DAIG) Frankfurt and sponsored by Cinthify, this interactive session translates complex regulation into practical decisions for teams developing or deploying AI. It is designed for early-to-mid-stage AI founders, technical leads, product managers and compliance advisors, as well as executives, legal counsel and risk leaders responsible for institutional liability and cross-border compliance.

What the session covers

The event begins with a structured 60-minute presentation and panel, followed by 15–20 minutes of open Q&A, peer discussion and networking.

The first section explains the EU AI Act’s four risk tiers and the obligations associated with each:

  • Unacceptable risk: banned uses including social scoring, subliminal behavioural manipulation and emotion recognition in workplaces or schools.
  • High risk: systems used in recruitment, credit scoring, medical devices, education and critical infrastructure, with requirements around risk management, data auditing, logging and human oversight.
  • Limited risk: chatbots, AI coding assistants, synthetic media and deepfakes, including transparency disclosures and content watermarking.
  • Minimal risk: applications such as spam filters, basic recommendation engines and video-game NPC behaviour, where voluntary codes of conduct apply.

The briefing will also examine the distinction between currently enforced duties and future milestones. Topics include user disclosures for chatbots and interactive agents, role-specific workforce AI literacy under Article 4, forthcoming national AI regulatory sandboxes and the transition towards full oversight of high-risk systems. The organisers will also explain the potential financial exposure of non-compliance, stated as up to €35 million or 7% of global annual turnover.

Practical toolkit and live discussion

Attendees will receive an operational framework centred on a Risk Classification Tree and EU AI Act Compliance Matrix, intended to help teams categorise their products. The interactive version will be distributed after the session to verified Luma attendees through the private Community Hub.…
