What to expect

The ASEAN AI Summit 2026 (AAIS) brings together researchers, educators, policymakers, EdTech innovators, and industry practitioners in Da Nang, Vietnam—ranked as the country's most livable city and an emerging regional technology hub. Running from July 29-31, 2026, this flagship event is supported by the Vietnamese Government and premier international organizations, focusing specifically on AI in Education and its alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Whether you're presenting mature research, piloting a classroom project, or exploring how AI can transform learning across ASEAN, this summit offers a platform to share ideas and collaborate on solutions that make education more inclusive, accessible, and effective.

Who Should Submit

The summit welcomes contributions from diverse backgrounds: academic researchers, K-12 and university educators, vocational training experts, EdTech startups, NGOs working on digital inclusion, and corporate teams developing AI-powered learning tools. Both theoretical research and practical case studies from real-world educational settings are encouraged.

Research Topics

Submissions can address AI for Teaching & Learning Practice (adaptive learning tools, AI tutors and chatbots, learning analytics, generative AI for lesson planning, AR/VR immersive experiences); Ethics, Assessment & Governance (AI-enabled assessment, academic integrity, responsible AI use, data privacy, institutional policies); Teacher & Workforce Development (digital skills training, AI literacy curricula, industry-education partnerships, reskilling initiatives); and Inclusion, Access & Sustainability (solutions for rural or low-resource settings, assistive technologies for special needs learners, bridging the digital divide, affordable EdTech models).

Submission Categories

Full papers (max 4,500 words) should present validated research with substantial contributions to theory and practice. Extended abstracts, work-in-progress, or poster papers (300-1,500 words) are ideal for preliminary findings, conceptual frameworks, doctoral research, or emerging ideas. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review and must be original work not simultaneously submitted elsewhere.

Key dates: Abstract registration closes February 25, 2026; full paper deadline is April 20, 2026; peer-review results by May 25; camera-ready papers due June 6.
