What to expect

Learn how to find the root cause of production incidents faster by combining AI with logs, metrics, tracing and error tracking in one observability strategy.

From fragmented monitoring to faster answers

When production fails, disconnected monitoring and logging tools can turn diagnosis into hours of searching through logs. Fwdays Academy’s AI-Native Observability Crash Course focuses on replacing that fragmented approach with a coherent system that helps teams understand what happened, identify anomalies and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR).

The course begins on Monday 31 August 2026. It is delivered as three online sessions of approximately two hours each; the Meetup listing shows the opening session running from 18:30 to 20:30 EEST. The Meetup venue is currently marked as “needs a location”, with the course itself described as online.

What the course covers

Across the three sessions, participants will explore how the main pillars of observability work together rather than treating them as separate activities:

  • Logs, metrics, distributed tracing and error tracking as one connected system
  • Root-cause analysis in complex distributed environments
  • Using AI to analyse incidents and detect anomalies
  • Building a team observability strategy informed by practical experience at MacPaw
  • Creating an incident-response checklist designed to shorten MTTR

The intended outcome is both a joined-up understanding of observability and a practical framework teams can apply when investigating production issues. This makes the course particularly relevant to software engineers, platform and DevOps practitioners, technical leads, architects, and anyone responsible for system reliability or incident response. No formal experience prerequisite is stated, but the subject matter is especially useful for people who already encounter production monitoring or distributed-system failures.

Your mentor

The course is taught by Йожеф Гісем, a Solution Architect at MacPaw with more than ten years of experience. He has spoken at Fwdays, DOU and on YouTube, and teaches on the MacPaw Internship educational programme. His perspective anchors the course in real operational experience rather than observability theory alone.…
