About this event

What to expect

CosmoLocal CNX Main Week brings six days of AI, vibe coding and solopreneurship to Wat Ket, Chiang Mai, from 23–28 September 2026.

Set in Chiang Mai’s riverside creative district, this paid gathering brings together the four coliving tracks that have spent three weeks living and building side by side. Main Week opens that work to everyone through keynotes, practical workshops, demonstrations, an exhibition, shared meals and participant-led sessions, all centred on global-meets-local collaboration.

Keynotes and hands-on learning

Keynotes running from 24–26 September include:

  • Benjamin Hies on what AI cannot replace in a one-person business
  • George Siosi Samuels on what AI gets wrong about culture and consciousness
  • Amarit Charoenphan on failure, face and the Thai way of doing business
  • Jon Jandai of Pun Pun on sustainable living and saving seeds

Small-group workshops on 24–25 September cover AI Foundations, AI in Practice, building Claude agents, vibe coding, sales funnels, design thinking, money management, relationship building and problem-to-prototype development. The programme also connects technology with local knowledge through sessions on bean-to-bar chocolate, Northern Thai coffee, Thai medicine and herbs, mushrooms and tea.

Build, share and explore

The Claude Impact Labs Hackathon takes place at the Mövenpick Hotel on 26–27 September, giving participants two days to build applied AI projects serving Chiang Mai’s civic and creative communities. Elsewhere during the week:

  • The Solopreneur Show & Tell lets solo founders discuss what they are building, and what is or is not working, without pitches.
  • The Nomad Futures Lab Exhibition presents prototypes, essays and artefacts exploring the future of location-independent life.
  • A potluck at the Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center creates one long table for around 200 people, with everyone bringing a dish or story.
  • Optional excursions include waterfalls, a cacao farm, an eco-farm and a mushroom foray; these cost extra and have limited places.
  • The final day features participant-led skill shares, open jams, AMAs and live experiments.…
