About this event

What to expect

Bringing together machine learning researchers, reproductive medicine specialists, and biomedical scientists, this workshop explores the intersection of AI and reproductive biomarkers in advancing women's health. Hosted by the ai@cam-funded Womb to World project and Cambridge Reproduction, this is the fourth event in the AI and Reproduction series at the University of Cambridge.

Reproductive healthcare relies on an extensive array of biomarkers — from hormonal profiles and genetic markers to metabolic indicators, advanced imaging techniques, and longitudinal clinical histories. Each data type presents unique opportunities and challenges for AI application. This half-day workshop examines how machine learning can transform our understanding and use of these diverse biomarkers to improve reproductive health outcomes.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed for:

  • Machine learning researchers interested in healthcare applications
  • Clinicians and researchers in reproductive medicine and women's health
  • Biomedical scientists working with reproductive biomarkers
  • Data scientists exploring healthcare datasets
  • PhD students and postdocs in relevant fields

What to Expect

The event features talks from leading experts at the intersection of AI and reproductive medicine, covering topics across the biomarker spectrum — hormones, imaging, genomics, and multi-omics approaches. A networking lunch provides opportunities to connect with researchers and clinicians working on similar challenges, while flash talks offer emerging researchers a platform to share their work.

The workshop takes place at The Pitt Building on Trumpington Street in Cambridge, running from 09:30 to 14:30 with refreshments and lunch included. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is strongly recommended.

Contributing a Flash Talk

Researchers interested in presenting a flash talk should email coordinator@repro.cam.ac.uk with their proposed topic and brief abstract.

This workshop represents a unique opportunity to engage with the growing community working at the frontier of AI and reproductive health, where computational approaches are beginning to unlock new insights from complex biomarker data.
