What to expect

Build a practical AI evaluation plan and learn how to decide whether your product is ready to ship in this live, no-code online workshop on 26 September 2026.

A handful of successful prompts may make for an impressive demo, but they do not prove that an AI product is reliable, valuable or ready for real customers. Led by Prateek Khare, Head of Product at Amazon, this 2.5-hour session offers a structured way to test an AI product, feature or use case before launch, and make an evidence-based decision to ship, improve or hold.

Hosted online by Packt Publishing Limited, the workshop runs from 10:00am to 12:30pm EDT (2:00pm to 4:30pm UTC) on Saturday 26 September 2026. It is practical and accessible: no coding or machine-learning experience is required.

What you’ll work through

The workshop takes participants from customer outcomes to clear launch criteria across four stages:

  1. Define “good enough”, connect your product to a customer outcome, then identify the behaviours, risks and failures that matter.
  2. Build your evaluation, create test cases reflecting real usage, edge cases and critical failure scenarios, with a clear approach to assessing outputs.
  3. Set practical thresholds, determine acceptable standards for quality, reliability, safety, customer experience, latency and cost.
  4. Make the launch decision, use the resulting evidence to decide whether your product should ship, needs further improvement or should be held.

You will learn how to turn customer value into a focused evaluation objective rather than relying on vague measures or isolated prompt tests. The session also examines the trade-offs involved in AI product delivery, helping you consider not only output quality but also reliability, safety, speed and operating cost.

Who should attend?

Bring an AI product idea, feature, prototype or existing use case to apply the framework to during the workshop. The no-code format makes the session suitable for participants without technical or machine-learning backgrounds, while the focus on evaluation goals, realistic scenarios and launch thresholds is relevant to anyone responsible for assessing whether an AI experience is ready for customers.…
