About this event

What to expect

Hack Night is a welcoming social coding meetup held every two weeks at DeskLodge House in Bristol, perfect for developers, designers, and coding enthusiasts of all skill levels. Whether you're an experienced programmer working on a side project, a beginner learning to code, or simply curious about web development, this relaxed event creates the ideal environment to make progress on personal projects, collaborate with others, or tackle coding challenges in a supportive community atmosphere.

The evening runs from 6:15 PM to 8:30 PM BST, with a structured yet flexible format that balances socialising with focused work time. Arrive by 6:30 PM for introductions (note that late arrivals may not be accommodated as reception closes after working hours), followed by a brief event intro at 6:45 PM. The core hacking session runs from 6:45 PM to 8:15 PM, giving you plenty of time to dive into your project or pair up with fellow attendees. The evening wraps up with a closing session at 8:15 PM where participants can share what they've been working on.

What to Bring

All you need is a laptop and either a project you'd like to work on or something new you'd like to learn. This could be that side project that's been gathering dust on your "back burner", a new technology you're curious about, or online coding challenges you want to tackle with support from the community. The format is intentionally flexible—some attendees work solo, others pair up to learn together, and everyone benefits from the shared knowledge and collaborative atmosphere.

Who Should Attend

Hack Night welcomes everyone from complete beginners taking their first steps in coding to experienced developers working on complex projects. Whether you're interested in web development, mobile apps, data science, automation, or any other programming discipline, you'll find like-minded people to learn from and share ideas with. The event is hosted by CodeHub Bristol, an organisation dedicated to running workshops, organising mentorships, and facilitating study groups across the local tech community.

Connect with the Community

Beyond the fortnightly Hack Nights, CodeHub Bristol maintains an active Discord server where you can join the #hacknight channel to connect with other attendees, share resources, and stay updated on future events. The organisation operates under a clear [Code of Conduct](https://www.codehub.or
