About this event

What to expect

Dive deep into the intersection of AI and human creativity at this unique screenwriting workshop in Berlin. This intimate focus group brings together screenwriters, filmmakers, producers, and storytellers to explore one of the most pressing questions of our time: "What is real?" in the age of artificial intelligence.

What to Expect

This hands-on 2-hour session follows a structured three-part format designed to spark creativity and meaningful discussion:

Part 1: Collective Brainstorming (30 minutes) — Begin by exploring the theme together as a group. Share perspectives, experiences, observations, and ideas about artificial intelligence and humanity. This collaborative exploration sets the foundation for the creative work ahead.

Part 2: Writing Sprint (30 minutes) — Put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and write a short story based on the central question "What is real?" Using artificial intelligence and humanity as your creative framework, you'll craft an original piece that grapples with these themes in whatever way resonates with you.

Part 3: Story Sharing & Discussion (60 minutes) — Share your stories with fellow attendees and explore them together in depth. This is where the magic happens — hearing diverse interpretations of the same theme and discovering new perspectives through collaborative discussion.

Who Should Attend

This meetup welcomes anyone passionate about storytelling, regardless of experience level:

  • Screenwriters at any stage of their journey
  • Filmmakers exploring narrative themes
  • Producers looking for fresh ideas and collaborators
  • Creative individuals with compelling stories to tell
  • Anyone curious about the relationship between AI and human creativity

Whether you're working on your first screenplay or you're a seasoned writer, this supportive environment provides space to experiment, collaborate, and refine your craft.

Preparation

No formal preparation required, but organisers encourage attendees to reflect on the theme beforehand. Consider your personal relationship to artificial intelligence and what "real" means to you. Think about relevant experiences — your own or those of people around you. Come with a clear point of view and a few thoughts already considered. You don't need to write anything in advance; just bring your ideas and curiosity.
