About this event

What to expect

Master the art of building advanced Generative AI applications using GraphRAG in this intensive hands-on workshop hosted by Global AI Berlin at CODE University. Whether you're looking to reduce AI hallucinations or build more intelligent retrieval systems, this instructor-led session will equip you with practical skills to leverage graph databases for next-generation AI applications.

What You'll Build

This workshop takes you beyond basic RAG implementations by teaching you how to combine knowledge graphs with vector search to create more accurate and contextually aware AI systems. You'll work through practical exercises building real applications using Neo4j, Python, and LangChain, with instructors available throughout to support your learning.

During the session, you'll gain hands-on experience:

  • Enhancing GenAI applications using Neo4j graph database capabilities
  • Constructing knowledge graphs from unstructured data sources
  • Implementing vector embeddings for semantic similarity search
  • Creating GraphRAG retrievers using Python
  • Building a conversational AI agent that combines Neo4j with LangChain

Workshop Format

The session follows a mixed format combining theoretical concepts with practical coding exercises. You'll learn key concepts including Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), GraphRAG, vector search, knowledge graphs, and AI agents — then immediately apply them in guided exercises.

Prerequisites: You'll need basic knowledge of Neo4j, Cypher query language, and Python. The organisers recommend exploring Neo4j Fundamentals before attending. Bring your laptop and ensure you have accounts set up for Graph Academy and GitHub (for CodeSpaces).
