About this event

What to expect

Join Amsterdam's AI community for AgentCamp 2026, a free hands-on event where developers and AI enthusiasts learn to build autonomous agents using Microsoft Foundry, DocumentDB, and cutting-edge multi-agent frameworks. This evening workshop, hosted by PyLadies Amsterdam and part of the Global AI Community's worldwide AgentCamp initiative, offers three parallel 90-minute workshops plus the official AgentCamp 2026 keynote on the evolution from chatbots to autonomous AI systems.

Choose Your Workshop Track

Workshop 1: Build a Pizza Ordering Agent with Microsoft Foundry and MCP Learn to create domain-specific AI agents using Foundry Agent Service. Starting with a basic agent, you'll progressively add system prompts, custom instructions, and knowledge retrieval with RAG. You'll implement tool calling (building a pizza calculator) and connect external services via Model Context Protocol (MCP) for live menu integration and order management. By the end, you'll have deployed a fully functional Contoso PizzaBot capable of answering questions, making recommendations, and processing orders.

Workshop 2: Semantic Search & Multi-Agent AI with DocumentDB Go from zero to production-ready AI search in 90 minutes. Master vector embeddings, build a RAG-powered chatbot, and orchestrate multi-agent workflows using DocumentDB, OpenAI APIs, and LangGraph. This hands-on session covers the full stack of modern semantic search and agent coordination patterns.

Workshop 3: The AI Podcast Studio Launch your own tech podcast "Future Bytes" by building an AI-powered production team. Learn to deploy local AI models (eliminating API costs and cloud dependencies), construct specialized AI agents that collaborate effectively, and create a complete podcast production pipeline from concept to finished audio. Perfect for developers interested in content creation automation.

Featured Keynote: The Future of AI Agents

The evening opens with the official AgentCamp 2026 keynote exploring the evolution toward the "Agentic Enterprise." Microsoft Research's Lili Cheng traces the journey from early bot frameworks to today's sophisticated autonomous agents. Learn Dean Caragnan's "Rule of 5" framework for identifying optimal AI automation opportunities, explore "Guidance" technology for bringing determinism to probabilistic LLMs, and hear Jay Parikh from Core AI discuss why curiosity and strategic delegation are essential developer skil
