A free online AI workshop on 14 October 2026 at 7:00 PM, showing beginners how to build income around existing commitments, without coding or direct selling.
A practical, honest look at AI-powered online business
Most “make money with AI” content assumes you already understand the technology or have plenty of time to experiment. This live session takes a more accessible approach. Joy Mallard, who runs an online business and teaches others to do the same, will demonstrate how she uses AI in her own day-to-day operation, including where it genuinely saves effort, where it adds work, and what it cannot do on your behalf.
Rather than presenting AI as an automatic route to income, the workshop offers a realistic view: AI can complete a meaningful share of the work, but you still need to learn the process, make decisions and handle the rest. No specific financial or business results are promised, and the session is provided for educational purposes rather than as financial, income or business advice.
What the workshop covers
Joy will walk through:
The AI tools she uses regularly and the practical role of each one
Tasks where AI meaningfully reduces the workload
Situations where using AI can create more work rather than less
What the learning curve feels like when starting from zero
Her approach to developing an online business alongside other work and commitments
The format combines a live online workshop with Q&A, giving attendees an opportunity to hear the practical walkthrough and ask questions. The online access link will be visible to confirmed attendees, who can also use the Meetup event chat to connect before the session begins.
Who should attend?
This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for people who want to explore online income but do not want to rely on face-to-face selling, learn to code or immediately leave their current work. It should be especially relevant if you have limited time, need an approach that can fit around existing responsibilities, or do not consider yourself particularly tech-savvy.…

Governing Algorithms for Care brings together researchers, healthcare professionals, legal scholars, and technologists for two intensive days examining how AI is reshaping healthcare delivery — and how we can ensure these powerful systems serve patients responsibly. As algorithms increasingly influence diagnoses, treatment recommendations, and care pathways, fundamental questions around fairness, accountability, and patient autonomy demand urgent attention. This interdisciplinary conference addresses the complex governance challenges at the intersection of AI, medicine, law, and ethics. Whether you're developing medical AI systems, shaping healthcare policy, or advocating for patient rights, you'll find sessions tackling the practical and philosophical questions that matter most in this rapidly evolving field. What to Expect The programme spans presentations, workshops, and panel discussions exploring how AI in healthcare can be regulated, designed, and deployed to protect fundamental rights while enabling innovation. Expect rigorous academic insights alongside practice-oriented case studies from those implementing these technologies in clinical settings. Core themes include: - Health equity and fairness — addressing algorithmic bias and ensuring AI benefits all patient populations - AI regulation and compliance — navigating emerging legal frameworks and standards - Data protection, accountability, and liability — understanding who is responsible when AI systems make mistakes - Ethical design in medical technologies — building values into algorithms from the ground up - Patients' rights in AI-driven care — preserving autonomy, informed consent, and transparency Who Should Attend This conference welcomes contributions from across disciplines. Legal researchers examining healthcare regulation, medical practitioners integrating AI into clinical workflows, ethicists concerned with algorithmic fairness, and technologists building healthcare systems will all find relevant sessions and valuable networking opportunities. The organisers explicitly encourage interdisciplinary and practice-oriented contributions, recognising that governance of healthcare AI requires dialogue between law, medicine, ethics, and technology. If you're working at any of these intersections, this conference offers a rare opportunity to engage with others tackling similar challenges from different perspectives. Submit Your Research The
Explore the environmental, social and economic cost of AI in a hands-on World AI Week workshop in Amsterdam on 5 October 2026. Part of World AI Week 2026, this practical four-hour session looks beyond AI hype and productivity gains to ask a more difficult question: what does using AI actually cost? Attendees will examine the energy, water, data, governance and social consequences behind AI systems, and learn how to make more informed decisions when building or using AI products at work. What to expect Rather than framing responsible AI as an abstract debate, the workshop combines awareness-building, practical examples and a hands-on building exercise. It is designed to help participants understand the systems they rely on without making them feel guilty for using AI. During the session, you will: - Develop a clearer picture of AI’s environmental, social and economic costs - Explore simple tracking tools, comparisons and discussion prompts that make AI usage more tangible - Learn to use AI more efficiently, including the practical skill of context-window management - Build a solution during the hands-on portion of the workshop - Leave with approaches you can continue applying and share within your organisation The exact programme will be announced closer to the event. Pizza and drinks will be provided, creating space to continue the discussion and meet others interested in responsible AI, sustainability and practical product building. Who is it for? The workshop takes an accessible, practical approach and is relevant to people who use or build with AI and want to understand its wider impact. This is a “ladies first” event: everyone is welcome, but women will receive priority to attend. The event is organised by Marta from Ladies Build With AI, a community helping women gain practical AI skills by building real-world projects, together with Madalina Buzdugan, a sustainability director who helps fast-growing companies turn sustainability and AI from buzzwords into strategy.
