What to expect

How does open data transform public health awareness, and what will clinical care look like when AI agents are in the room? This Paris event tackles both questions head-on, featuring two distinct projects that demonstrate how data and AI are reshaping healthcare — from exposing what's in French tap water to reimagining the patient-doctor relationship by 2030.

What's in Your Water?

Jérémy Greze, Freelance Product × Data × Dev, tells the story behind dansmoneau.fr — a volunteer-driven project that made France's tap water quality data accessible to every citizen. Launched in October 2025 with zero budget and 44 volunteers from Data For Good, the site processed 10 GB of government open data covering 24,000 water zones. Within days, it landed on the front page of Le Monde, received prime-time TV coverage, and prompted a question in Parliament.

This wasn't about inventing new data — it was about making existing data usable. French health authorities have been collecting monthly water quality measurements for years, but the information remained buried and inaccessible. Greze walks through the technical architecture: designing the data pipeline, discovering that 10 GB is actually "small data" with the right approach, and rendering thousands of water zones on an interactive map without browser crashes. The talk also explores what the data reveals about contaminants like PFAS, pesticides, nitrates, VCM, and perchlorate across France.

Clinical AI by 2030

Li-Heng Fu, Senior AI Solution Engineer for Health & Life Sciences at Dataiku, shifts focus to the future of patient care. Healthcare has long been resistant to technological disruption — constrained by data privacy requirements, rigid clinical workflows, and high-stakes accountability. But the barriers are finally breaking down, driven not just by AI capabilities but by clinicians and builders choosing to lead the transformation.

Drawing on Stanford ARISE AI research and emerging industry developments, Fu traces the evolution from experimental AI benchmarks to real bedside applications. Expect coverage of multimodal diagnostic agents, ambient clinical scribing, and autonomous healthcare assistants. The session closes with a provocative question: as AI reshapes healthcare over the next five years, what kind of patient-doctor relationship are we actually building?
