About this event

What to expect

Experienced women in tech can apply to mentor the next six-month Rise cohort, supporting emerging leaders through focused one-to-one guidance in London or online.

The Rise Mentorship Programme pairs experienced senior-executive women with promising junior- and mid-career women. Organised by Rise (London Tech Ladies), the programme aims to help more women progress into senior roles by developing their leadership capabilities, confidence and professional networks.

This mentor invitation is listed as a hybrid event from 10:00am BST on Friday 28 August to 10:00am BST on Monday 31 August 2026. Mentoring itself runs over six months, with sessions available in person or virtually. The Meetup listing is associated with London; an in-person location has not yet been specified, while the online access link will be visible to attendees.

What the mentoring role involves

Successful mentors will be expected to:

  • Bring at least 15 years of full-time professional experience, including a minimum of five years in a managerial position.
  • Commit to at least six private one-to-one sessions with their matched mentee during the six-month programme.
  • Allow approximately one hour for each session, held either face to face or virtually.
  • Share practical senior leadership experience while supporting the next generation of women leaders.
  • Approach the relationship with openness to learning and two-way feedback.

The programme focuses on leadership skills including strategic thinking, decision-making and people skills. It also seeks to expand participants’ networks, boost confidence and improve the retention of women as they advance into higher-level roles.

Who should apply?

This opportunity is designed for experienced women leaders who want to make a sustained, personal contribution to another woman’s career development. It will particularly suit mentors who value inclusive leadership and understand that mentoring is not simply about giving advice: it can also deepen the mentor’s own leadership awareness and provide fresh perspectives through a two-way relationship.…
