Pilates, peer connection and pub drinks for Chiefs of Staff, operations leads and founders’ associates working at tech and AI startups in London.
If you are the only person in your startup doing your kind of work, this event offers a chance to meet others who understand the reality of being a “team of one”. Hosted by Nahida Chiki and Aubry Ma, the evening swaps the usual networking breakfast or formal dinner for a relaxed combination of movement, conversation and after-class drinks.
Taking place on Thursday 27 August 2026, from 7pm to 10pm, the event begins at Shoreditch Park Playground in London. It is designed specifically for Chiefs of Staff, operations leads and founders’ associates at tech or AI startups, roles that often span multiple responsibilities without a direct internal peer group.
Evening plan
7pm: Meet at Shoreditch Park Playground
7:15–8pm: A 45-minute outdoor mat Pilates class led by Blanca from Nelo Wellness
From 8pm: Drinks and informal networking at The Hoxton Shoreditch
The Pilates session welcomes all experience levels, so you do not need an established practice to take part. Attendees should bring their own mat, as spare mats will not be available. Expect an accessible group class in the park rather than a competitive fitness session, followed by plenty of time to compare notes, build relationships and talk with people facing similar operational challenges inside fast-moving startups.
Cannot make the Pilates class? You can still come along for the drinks afterwards. That flexibility makes the event useful both for attendees looking for a wellness-focused activity and those primarily interested in meeting fellow startup operators in a casual setting.
Registration requires host approval, and attendees are asked to RSVP so the organisers know how much space to save for the class. The precise event details are available to approved registrants.
