Held ahead of Breakpoint 2026, this extended Hacker House is designed for teams improving live products as well as builders starting from zero. Build a practical solution to a community-defined problem using Claude Code at this free, four-hour team build event in Dublin. The Impact Lab turns issues identified during an earlier Claude Conversations session into concrete build briefs. These centre on questions about AI’s effects on work, individuals, families and communities, as well as who should set the rules. Briefs will be published on the event page before the lab, and each team will choose one challenge to tackle with Claude Code. How the evening works - 17:00: Doors open and teams select a brief - Build in teams of up to five; solo attendees can be matched with others on arrival - Pizza will be served during the build - Around 20:00: Short, live team demonstrations begin - Winners will be announced before the 21:00 finish Judges will consider how directly each build addresses its chosen problem, whether it works during the live demo, and whether someone could realistically use it after the event. Every participant receives $100 in Claude API credits. The winning team receives prizes including one month of Claude Max 20x for each member. Who should attend This event is for people already comfortable building and shipping with Claude Code. It is not an introductory workshop, and there will not be time to learn the tool during the session. Bring a laptop with Claude Code installed and working, plus your charger. You should also create an organisation in the Claude Console beforehand, as the API credits cannot be applied to a personal Claude.ai account. The 2nd OneEarth International Hackathon brings students, developers and sustainability enthusiasts together to tackle real-world environmental and climate challenges. Over one intensive weekend, teams will turn ideas into technology solutions that contribute to a smarter, greener future. What you’ll build The challenge places a strong emphasis on using artificial intelligence alongside other technologies to address global sustainability objectives. Projects can explore themes including: - Climate change and climate resilience - Renewable and clean energy - Water conservation - Sustainable cities - Behavioural change - AI for Earth and environmental protection This is a practical innovation sprint rather than a conventional conference. Participants will collaborate in teams, develop their concepts and create a submission within the 48-hour window. University of Edinburgh students can spend a full day solving real-world festival challenges at this collaborative arts, culture and technology hackathon. Autonomous SG 2026 is a six-hour AI buildathon for 300+ builders in Singapore, taking place on Saturday, 31 October 2026. Supported by Anthropic, the event challenges participants to build and ship a production-grade AI prototype within six hours. Problem statements will only be revealed on the day, so teams should arrive ready to build rather than prepare a solution in advance. The top five teams will pitch their work live on stage. Who can take part? The buildathon is open to undergraduates, master’s and PhD students, researchers, engineers and working professionals. You can participate solo or in a team of up to four. One person should register for the whole team and request the corresponding number of tickets.
