What to expect

Build and debug production AI agents at this hands-on AWS and Bronto observability evening in Dublin on 29 September 2026.

AI now sits on both sides of the observability equation. AgentCore applications are non-deterministic production systems that can be difficult to diagnose, while AI models can also act as on-call assistants, reading traces and investigating telemetry faster than a human operator. This event explores both perspectives through practical building sessions rather than theory alone.

What you’ll work on

Following a short framing talk, attendees will take part in two technical sessions:

  • Observability for AI: instrument an AgentCore agent using OpenTelemetry’s GenAI semantic conventions, creating the visibility needed to understand and debug agent behaviour.
  • AI for observability: connect a model to live telemetry and use it to work through a real incident-response scenario.

The group will then reconvene to compare the two approaches and discuss what each reveals about operating AI systems in production. The combination makes this evening especially useful for anyone interested in AI agents, application monitoring, telemetry, incident response, platform engineering or the practical realities of running non-deterministic software.

Agenda and format

The evening runs from 6:00pm to 8:30pm GMT+1 on Tuesday, 29 September 2026. The planned schedule includes:

  • Doors open
  • Welcome and housekeeping, 5 minutes
  • AI for Observability & Observability for AI kickoff, 25 minutes
  • Track A: Observability for AI, 30–45 minutes
  • Track B: AI for Observability, 30–45 minutes
  • Drinks and networking

This is a technical, hands-on event, so bring a laptop. Food, drinks and the accounts required for the sessions will be provided. No formal experience requirement is listed, but the subject matter will be particularly relevant to AI builders, software engineers, SREs, DevOps and platform teams, and developers working with agents or production observability.

Venue and registration

Hosted by AWS and Bronto, with Jim Mcgowan, Mariana Rossi, Patrick Londa and Stephen Crowley, the event takes place at Amazon Ireland – DUB19, Block 2 Charlemont Street, Charlemont Row, Saint Kevin’s, Dublin D02 F6X6.…
