About this event

What to expect

Learn how to make investors’ appetite for opportunity outweigh their fear of risk at this free, in-person fundraising talk and Q&A in Da Nang.

Hosted by San E. of East/West AIpha, the session draws on experience from both sides of the table: raising more than $250 million as a founder and deploying over $500 million across 15 countries as an investor. It takes place on Wednesday 21 October 2026, 3:30–4:30pm ICT and will be delivered in English.

What you’ll learn

The 30-minute talk condenses an 18-hour university course on partnering with investors. It will cover:

  • How venture capital and private equity funds work, and how that should shape your pitch
  • The updated “Greed List” of factors that attract institutional investors, including in AI
  • The “Fear List” of reasons investors say no
  • Why AI-era due diligence can take weeks rather than months
  • Three practical improvements you can make to your pitch this week

Two volunteers can also pitch their decks to the room, with attendees acting as the investment committee, so founders are encouraged to bring a deck. A small number of free 20-minute fundraising-readiness reviews will be offered after the talk.

This event is particularly relevant to founders seeking seven- to nine-figure institutional funding, especially AI founders exceeding $10,000 MRR and preparing to raise venture capital. The talk will be recorded and shared afterwards.

Attendance is free, but the 20 on-site places are first come, first served. This is educational content, not an offer to trade securities or an investor-introduction service.
