About this event

What to expect

Building AI-driven products at speed often means ethical considerations get pushed aside — but the risks you miss early can become the trust issues that damage your product later. This hands-on workshop is designed for founders and early-stage product teams who need to identify and address ethical AI risks before they become problems.

This is not another theoretical lecture on AI ethics or a compliance checkbox exercise. It's a practical working session where you'll actively map the ethical blind spots in your own product using the Emotional Radar framework — a stakeholder trust and risk mapping methodology developed through real-world product work in health tech and ed tech.

What You'll Work On

During this two-hour interactive session, you'll focus on your specific product to uncover:

  • Hidden stakeholder risks — the quiet, unrepresented users who might lose trust in ways you haven't anticipated
  • Baked-in assumptions — the decisions made at speed that could cost you later
  • Trust vulnerabilities — where your product might be creating harm or exclusion without you realising it

What You'll Leave With

  • A risk map specific to your product showing where ethical issues are hiding
  • Prioritised insights on which risks need immediate action and which need monitoring
  • A concrete next step you can implement before your next sprint
  • A fundamentally different lens for evaluating your product decisions

Who Should Attend

This session is built for:

  • AI-focused founders who want to move fast and build products people trust
  • Product teams who've shipped an MVP and want to identify what they might have missed
  • Anyone who knows they should be thinking about ethics but hasn't found a practical way to integrate it into their workflow

About the Facilitator

This workshop is delivered by Jar of Insights, an ethical AI product lab founded by Irina (Erin) Okhrymenko. Jar of Insights specialises in responsible AI design, stakeholder trust, and human-centred adoption, bringing product experience from health tech and ed tech sectors to surface the uncomfortable questions most teams avoid.

The session takes place at DeskLodge House in Bristol's Redcliffe district, providing a collaborative environment for this focused discovery work. Organised by techSPARK, this is a rare opportunity to do genuine et
